I'm a storyteller at heart, whose life has been a canvas for creative expression through writing, theater, and activism.
My journey in theater is marked by plays that speak to the human condition, challenge societal norms, and celebrate our shared humanity. The incredible story "GREAT BLACK HOPE" of the first black world champion in boxing - Jack Johnson - is a testament to my commitment to stories that confront racism and champion resilience. My play "THE FATE OF A GENIOUS" delves into the struggles of a Hungarian doctor Ignaz Semmelweis against the rigid medical establishment of the 19th century, mirroring my passion for unearthing historical truths.
My work extends to comedies like "MONIKA GOES TO BRUSSELS," highlighting the struggles of ambitious women, and "BEGUNJE UPRISING," a satirical take on village life against oppressive forces. These plays were performed at significant theater gatherings, reflecting my deep engagement with Slovenian culture and the arts.
Beyond the stage, I founded the Gorenjska Community of Theatres (GOST), a vibrant network of theater groups across Gorenjska. This initiative embodies my belief in the transformative power of the arts and community collaboration.
Through my plays, activism, and community leadership, I strive to inspire, educate, and bring people together. Each story I create, in turn, creates a part of me, weaving a tapestry of experiences that define who I am and what I stand for.
